Hi there!

Want to hear a story?

One day, we took our four kids and a pile of kites we had in our garage to the local beach.

The wind was decent; so we should have been able to launch them soaring.

But, we couldn’t.

They kept diving into the sand.

It was frustrating, and our kids were really fussing.

But, we tried, and failed, and tried again, to get our kites going.

And while we did this, an interesting awareness began to grow.

We noticed a connection to the faith journey: some adversity, the strength in community, the joy in family fellowship, the Holy Spirit as an invisible but powerful force.

Good grief. The allegories were everywhere!

Wouldn’t it be wonderful, we thought, to have 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 toys that elevated thinking to spiritual matters during play?

With that, Spiritful Toys was born.

(Eventually we realized we had put the kites together backwards, and once we fixed it, they flew beautifully. And once they were up, we couldn’t stop dreaming of all the designs we would be able to put in the sky!)

An opportunity to meaningfully connect.

While our toys and puzzles are possible for independent kid assembly, they are designed for adult accompaniment.

Why?

When you come alongside child in play, you have a unique opening into their experience.

The relationship building that takes place is a bonding that goes beyond the attachment needed in infancy, to a low-risk shared experience, and without feeling starchy or forced.

It's in these in those small moments that learning and relationship happen in ways you can't access most of the time - the memory making kind!

To many more joyful, faithful, playful, and 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐟𝐮𝐥 times.
